Children’s Ministries

Dear Family of God:

 Hello! We are so lucky to have a great church that values and supports our children. Please take a few moments to look over the list below of weekly children’s activities that are offered at FUMC. I hope you will encourage your child to get involved. Please also invite your friends with children to join us. Everyone is welcome!

 Youth Choir – Singers from junior high school and beyond who want to sing for worship should join the Youth Choir. Practices are held each Sunday at 4:00 p.m. in the Music Room. Leader: Carol Morgan

 Tweens and Company – Children all ages are invited to come and sing together…parent’s are welcome too! Learn basic music concepts and warm-up techniques through praise and worship songs all to glorify God. This group sings each month during church worship services and for special Holy Days. Practices are held each Sunday morning from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. in the Music Room. Leaders: Carol Morgan, Susan Hurley and Janie Chappell

 Grapple – All children in grades four through six should attend Grapple! Grapple is a weekly program designed to excite and enrich your tweenager’s spiritual life by coming to know the love of God through Jesus. Children will learn how to live out their belief in God in their everyday lives. Meetings are held each Wednesday from 5:30 p.m. – 6:30 p.m. on the second floor of the main church building. Leaders: Rick and Amy White

 Kids’ Club – Just for kids in kindergarten through third grade…it’s Kids’ Club! Kids’ Club is a weekly program designed to excite children about the love of God! Children learn of Jesus’ love in a fun interactive setting. Meetings are held each Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on the second floor of the main church building. Leaders: Rick and Amy White

 Sunday School – Sunday school programs are offered for all children, all age groups to teach them the word of God. The Bible says in Proverbs 22:6 that we should “Train a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not turn from it.” Classes begin each Sunday at 10:00 a.m.

 United Methodist Youth – UMY is open for anyone in grades seven through twelve. This is a great time of Christian fellowship for junior high and high school students in a positive, caring environment. Each meeting includes a Bible lesson, food and games…did I mention food? Activities and special trips are planned throughout the year. Meetings are held each Sunday from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the Family Life Building, Youth Room. Leaders: Ramanda Chappell and Liz Hull
